    Manufacturer: LivarnoLux

    Protocol: Zigbee 3.0

    Fitting: E27 - Requires Adapter

    Spectrum: RGB

This is a quick review of my experience with the LivarnoLux - colour-change LED light bulb, which was recently on offer at Lidl stores across the UK.

The bulbs are fairly cheap but in my opinion after using them for just over a week, they are still not worth the money and my experience has not been good.

Within a day of purchase, problems arose. Mainly in the fact that for some odd reason the bulbs tend to flicker around a lot, dimming & brightening randomly, until such time they just turn themselves off.

Out of the 6 bulbs purchased I have just 3 which are relatively functional still and I am considering taking those back also as I have noticed the odd flicker happening.

I have tried the bulbs in multiple light sockets and have the same problem. Swapping the bulb out with another of a different brand resolves the problem so I conclude it is not a wiring issue as I have had no problems previously with other models and brands. It just seems that this specific brand has a problem.

Overall, Whites seem fine but Colours are very lacklustre, mainly down to the fact the LED's producing them are very cheap and nasty and more of an after though.

If you are purchasing these within the UK then you will most likely need an adapter as they are E27 screw fitting. Adapters are readily available on Amazon or via Ikea  which sells them as part of its own bulb range at 2 for £1.

The bulb pairs without issues with Phillips Hue, Smart Things & mqtt2zigbee in Home Assistant, via CC2531 USB dongle.

They show as Tuya branded bulbs when paired.

My personal recommendation is buy one, if you have no issues and don't mind the terrible colour output then fine, but then you you could save yourself a few quid if you don't want RGB and just buy the white bulbs. If you are looking for an all round RGB/White bulb then this is not it. I would avoid in that case.
