The court case was/is against the EBPF who are a different organisation - An amateur organisation staffed by volunteers which makes it worse. So this announcement was made by UP/Ultimate Pool who have basically let the small amateur org take the risk all on their own - Which was/is fucking shameful. UP actually DID have this exact policy and announced it 2-3 years ago and Harriet contacted them right away and threatened to sue and they immediately capitulated and changed their policy to allow Her/him to play in the ladies events. Now that UP have seen the court ruling the other week that stated....well we know what it stated - a man has a cock and a woman tends not to have....NOW all of a sudden UP have grown a pair and decided that only bio women can play in the woman events. They are cowards for allowing it in the 1st place imho. Harriet's case against the EBPF - judgement won't be handed down until June/July time. Her costs are being paid for by A N Other (Some trans rights group who's name escapes me)- The EBPF costs have been crowd funded. I know a wee bit about this because as stated Harriet plays in our league and I play a wee bit of pool around this county. (Can't see the end of the snooker table any more due to deteriorating eyesight - age and glaucoma lol)

Read a post from Harriet today. Trans rights are still protected characteristic due to atricle.....I forget the number. But the upshot is for Pool in particular we still need to await the outcome of the hearing which was 5 days long at Canterbury court. Judgement expected in June/July. She was/is suing for discrimination....

I suspect there is good reason my misses nearly always buys my stuff which usually turns out to be that wrinkle free/non-iron stuff lol. She thinks I don't notice....im sure it's so she can watch those moronic Australian soaps ffs.

Im not so much old school, live and let live is my motto. Do no harm and all that. Treat others as you wish to be treated ect ect. My thoughts on bio men in women's sport are I don't think it's fair in any way. That's it. Even in cue sports - There is a difference, even though there is no strength involved....the data fucking shows that men are better than women - if you just look at the data alone it can't be argued. What people choose to do to their bodies and how they choose to live their life has nothing to do with me. Harriet has went the whole 9 yards - she has "fully" transitioned. It's clearly bigger than a game of pool for "her". But she should accept that regardless of her feelings she was born a man and went through part puberty, she has attributes and hormones that other women don't. She is free to play in the "open" category. Also has been assured that ANYONE making her feel uncomfortable by their words or actions will be removed from the tour and banned...So there is zero reason she should not accompany the few women who DO choose to play in the open tour...rather than the women's tour.

Yeah the match was played up the road from you. BUT I actually KNOW Harriet. A nice person, Completely disagree that they should be allowed in women's competition though. Her court case against one of the other pool org's started yesterday in my local court too. Ultimate pool could and should have stuck to their own original decision which was you play either in the open category OR if you were born a woman then you could play in the women's circuit. Harriet is a decent person to speak to. She is pretty good at pool too....although being that I have played cue sports all my life I have to say I have seen much better and personally wouldn't be unhappy to be drawn against her in a pool comp. But she is using this for money in my opinion as she basically asking this lot for £100k to make it all go away. (Think it's the English BlackBall Pool association) which is essentially an armature circuit which kind of makes it worse in my opinion
